I ran the first of my photography workshops recently and now I’m looking at the feedback from it.
It’s actually quite hard teaching people photography, you don’t realise how hard until you try it.
Very time consuming and tiring.
What I took from the feedback was that you can easily do someone’s head in by bombarding them with information.
I think it’s a much better idea to break things down into manageable chunks and spread the workshop out over a longer space of time.
So I decided on 4 weeks.
We will cover the basics of camera operation.
The relationship between shutter, aperture and ISO sensitivity.
I’d rather not take people on a field trip and hand hold them so instead there will be homework.
Then we’ll look at some simple post processing techniques.
